The sun was shining for a beautiful, although very warm, day in June when Franklin Mint Federal Credit Union Foundation hosted its Inaugural Golf Classic on the fairways at Radley Run Country Club outside of West Chester, PA.
With over 52 sponsoring companies and 88 golfers, FMFCU Foundation was able to raise funds to expand the Excellence in Teaching Awards program, which recognizes outstanding teachers and their schools with education grants. The event was presented by The Henderson Group, Philadelphia’s premier provider of flexible workplace solutions.
The Excellence in Teaching Award grants, originally intended to benefit only Delaware County schools will be expanded to include other schools served by FMFCU Foundation. “We are thrilled to have the capacity to expand our grant awards. Thanks to the success of the Golf Classic, thousands of students will be positively impacted,” said Rick Durante, Executive Director of FMFCU Foundation.
FMFCU Foundation plans to continue this successful fundraising event in Summer 2020!
Franklin Mint Federal Credit Union Foundation, a 501 (c)(3), supports charitable and educational causes within the communities served by Franklin Mint Federal Credit Union. Each year, the Credit Union and its Foundation grants more than $250,000 to educational programs and charitable initiatives. Programs include Delco Hi-Q academic competition, Teacher and Community Mini-Grants, college scholarships, charitable giving, school field trips, and the annual Partners in Education Celebration.
