Franklin Mint Federal Credit Union (FMFCU) and Delaware County Intermediate Unit (DCIU) in conjunction with Partners in Education Foundation and Delaware County Daily Times are accepting nominations for the 2018 Delaware County Excellence in Teaching Awards. The honor is bestowed upon 19 outstanding and innovative educators who have demonstratively made a difference through their work. Recipients will receive a $500 cash reward, commemorative plaque, and $1,000 for their school.
Nominations are being accepted online at fmfcu.org/excellence through the January 5, 2018 deadline. Anyone can nominate a deserving teacher—fellow teachers, past and present students, school administrators, family members, and friends. Nominations should be based on teacher performance during the current school year or on cumulative efforts throughout his/her teaching career.
A panel of education professionals will select one teacher from each of Delaware County’s 15 public school districts, one DCIU educator, and three non-public educators—one elementary, one middle, and one high school. Awardees will be honored at the annual Partners in Education Celebration, Thursday, April 19, 2018 at Drexelbrook Corporate Events Center and recognized by the media.
