FRANKLIN MINT FEDERAL CREDIT UNION HOSTS VOLUNTEER WEEK BENEFITTING 5 NONPROFIT ORGANIZATIONS

Employees at Franklin Mint Federal Credit Union (FMFCU) dedicated almost 200 volunteer hours during the final week of October as groups of employee volunteers headed out in the community to make a positive impact.

At the Delaware Food Bank, FMFCU volunteers packed more than 500 weekend food bags for students facing food insecurity. At Habitat for Humanity, volunteers helped to build decks in a Habitat Housing Community. Another group volunteered at FMFCU Headquarters by decorating lunch bags and packing those bags with sandwiches, snacks and drinks for adults experiencing homelessness at Safe Harbor Chester County. At Teachers’ Teammates in Folcroft and West Chester, more FMFCU volunteer groups filled teacher orders, organized the warehouse and sorted and labeled hundreds of books. Lastly, a group of FMFCU employees volunteered by creating floral arrangements that were donated to Fair Acres through Petals Please.

FMFCU Care Crew Volunteer Week gave employees several opportunities to make a positive impact in the communities where they work and live, all while collaborating with coworkers along the way. Each year, Franklin Mint Federal Credit Union offers eight hours of Volunteer Time Off in which employees are paid to volunteer across the region the credit union serves.
