FMFCU Foundation announces the opening of the application for the Teacher Mini Grant program for the sixth consecutive year.
These grants fund innovative educational experiences for K-12 students for up to $500. Teachers may request funds for classroom supplies, technology, books, or funding for classroom projects or programs that may not otherwise be funded in the 2023-2024 school year.
The 2023-2024 Teacher Mini Grants are made possible by a grant from the Minford Foundation.
Past projects by grant recipients include:
- Purchase of the board game Cashflow to provide students with the opportunity to expand their financial intelligence
- Hosting a life cycle unit in science with a Chick Hatching Project
- Purchase of school supplies geared towards special needs students.
- Implementation of a Book of the Month Club for student and parent interaction
