FMFCU Foundation Scholarship Applications Now Open

FMFCU Foundation is proud to offer three essay-based scholarship opportunities for high school seniors continuing their education. Each scholarship awards $4,000 to support students in their academic journey.

 

John D. Unangst Memorial Scholarship
Named in honor of Franklin Mint Federal Credit Union’s first and long-tenured President/CEO, this scholarship celebrates John D. Unangst’s legacy of leadership and community service. Established in 2001 to mark his 25th anniversary with the Credit Union, the scholarship continues to support students pursuing higher education.

 

Bridge to Success Scholarship
Created in 2023, this scholarship is specifically designed for students in the Chester Upland School District. It reflects FMFCU Foundation’s commitment to expanding educational opportunities and empowering students in underserved communities.

 

Delco Hi-Q Scholarship
Delco Hi-Q is the nation’s oldest, continuous academic quiz competition. Each year, more than 200 students from 21 high schools in Delaware County participate. The Delco Hi-Q Scholarship is awarded to one outstanding participant to help further their academic journey.

Applications are due by January 15, 2026.
Eligibility varies by scholarship. Students can learn more and apply at fmfcufoundation.org/awards.

Scholarship recipients will be honored at the FMFCU Foundation Celebration on April 16, 2026, at The Drexelbrook in Drexel Hill, PA.
