January 2026 (Chadds Ford, PA)- FMFCU Foundation is proud to announce the recipients of its annual Classroom Mini Grants, an initiative designed to support educators who are bringing creativity, innovation, and hands-on learning into their classrooms.
Open to K-12 teachers, the Classroom Mini Grant program provides funding for student-focused projects that often fall outside the scope of traditional school budgets. These grants help turn meaningful ideas into reality—supporting lessons that spark curiosity, encourage critical thinking, and enrich the overall learning experience.
Each grant will support a unique program tailored to meet the needs of students and foster educational growth in creative and impactful ways. The following educators have been selected as this year’s Classroom Mini Grant recipients:
- Jalen Johnston, The Bayard School– Students will explore creativity and career pathways through hands-on printmaking experiences.
- Lauren Estrada, Boothwyn Elementary School– Students will develop life skills through a student-led delivery cart that provides hands-on, real-world learning experiences.
- Katie Cardwell, Coebourn Elementary– Students will strengthen academic and leadership skills through the Linking Learners & Leaders program.
- Jeneen Sperratore Callahan, Eddystone Elementary– Students will build teamwork and motor skills through cooperative parachute activities.
- Emily Poll, Middletown High School– Students will enhance musical education and performance through participation in the Middletown High School Bands program.
- Nicole Mason, Park Lane Elementary– Students will observe live caterpillars transform into butterflies, document the process through journaling, and celebrate their learning with a butterfly release and a capstone visit to the Please Touch Museum.
- Quinette Bowen, Walnut Street Elementary School– Students will gain practical financial knowledge through a student-run financial literacy lab focused on real-world finance and commerce.
Through the Classroom Mini Grants, FMFCU Foundation continues its commitment to investing in education and empowering teachers with the resources they need to make a lasting difference. By supporting innovative classroom projects, the Foundation helps ensure students have access to engaging, hands-on educational experiences that inspire learning beyond the textbook.
