Now Accepting 2018 Scholarship Applications

Applications are now being accepted for the 2018 John D. Unangst Scholarships awarded by Franklin Mint Federal Credit Union (FMFCU). Eligible high school seniors can apply for one of eleven $1,500 awards at fmfcu.org/scholarship.

John D. Unangst scholarships are awarded annually to high school seniors who plan to attend a full-time course of study at an accredited two or four-year institution of higher learning. The application process involves writing an essay. Selected awardees must also be or have an immediate family member who is a member of Franklin Mint Federal Credit Union. FMFCU employees, directors, and their families are not eligible.

All applications are presented anonymously to a panel of educators for review and selection. The deadline to submit an application is January 12, 2018. Detailed instructions and application forms can be found at fmfcu.org/scholarship.

Candidates must be able to attend the region’s premier academic achievement event, the annual Partners in Education Celebration, should they be selected. Scholarship recipients will be recognized at the April 19, 2018 Partners in Education Celebration along with Excellence in Teaching awardees, Delco Hi-Q champions, the Financial Literacy Advocate of the Year, and other honorees.
