Franklin Mint Federal Credit Union Foundation and Delaware County Intermediate Unit (DCIU) are accepting nominations for the 2019 Delaware County Excellence in Teaching Awards. The honor is bestowed upon 21 outstanding and innovative educators, who have made a positive impact through their work, dedication, and disposition. Recipients will receive a $500 cash reward, commemorative plaque, and $1,000 for their school.

Nominations are being accepted online through the December 21, 2018 deadline. Click HERE.

Anyone can nominate a deserving teacher—fellow teachers, past and present students, school administrators, family members, and friends. Nominations should be based on teacher performance during the current school year or on cumulative efforts throughout his/her teaching career.

A panel of education professionals will select one teacher from each of 17 public school districts attended by Delaware County students, one DCIU educator, and three non-public educators—one elementary, one middle, and one high school. Awardees will be honored at the annual Partners in Education Celebration, Thursday, May 2, 2019 at Drexelbrook Catering & Special Events Center and recognized by the media.

The Delaware County Excellence in Teaching Award provides schools an opportunity to highlight their finest. Franklin Mint Federal Credit Union organizes and is the primary sponsor of all Partners in Education programs, including the annual Celebration and awards ceremony.
