FRANKLIN MINT FEDERAL CREDIT UNION HOSTS VOLUNTEER WEEK BENEFITTING LOCAL NONPROFIT ORGANIZATIONS

Twice a year, FMFCU hosts employee volunteer week, a dedicated week in which FMFCU encourages all employees to volunteer at a group experience or on their own. Throughout the week, employees dedicated time and talents to four local nonprofit organizations during this effort to give back to the community.

At KACS, FMFCU volunteers packed a 7-10 day supply of food for the monthly deliveries. These packed boxes contain nonperishables along with dairy, produce and meat and will be delivered to those in need.  A group of volunteers spent a morning at City Team Chester distributed 40 food boxes while another group handed out adult clothing and mother and baby items to those in need. At CADES, FMFCU volunteers worked with the Adult Day Program to assist and engage in social activities. A group of FMFCU employees also participated in HeadStrong Foundation’s Pack It Philly event. The group packed comfort kits for cancer patients. The successful event totaled over 5,000 comfort kits created.

FMFCU Care Crew Volunteer Week gave employees several opportunities to make a positive impact in the communities where they work and live, all while collaborating with coworkers along the way. Each year, Franklin Mint Federal Credit Union offers eight hours of Volunteer Time Off in which employees are paid to volunteer across the region the credit union serves.
