Do you know an educator who goes above and beyond to inspire and empower their students? Now’s your chance to recognize their incredible impact! FMFCU Foundation, in partnership with Delaware County Intermediate Unit, is now accepting nominations for the Delaware Valley Excellence in Teaching Award. This award recognizes and celebrates exceptional educators who have made a positive impact through innovative teaching methods and dedication to their students.
Each year, twenty educators are selected to receive a $1,000 classroom grant, a commemorative keepsake, and an additional $1,000 grant for their school. In total, $40,000 in grants will be awarded.
Nominations are open to anyone who has witnessed the positive influence of an exceptional educator, including students, colleagues, administrators, family, or friends. Eligible nominees must be certified teachers in good standing who provide direct instruction in a classroom setting. The geographic scope includes teachers in Chester, Delaware, Montgomery, New Castle, and Philadelphia counties.
Submit nominations by December 19, 2025, at fmfcufoundation.org/excellence-in-teaching.
Delaware Valley Excellence in Teaching Award recipients will be honored at the FMFCU Foundation Celebration on April 16, 2026 at The Drexelbrook and featured in the Delaware County Daily Times.

These initiatives encompass a diverse range of programs, including scholarships, the Delco Hi-Q Academic Competition, Community Nonprofit Grants, efforts to combat food insecurity, and various other community sponsorships.
