This March, FMFCU partnered with Share Food Program for their first ever Delaware County Food Drive. In a month-long campaign, FMFCU employees, credit union members, and accompanying community members had the opportunity to drop off shelf-stable items through donation boxes located in each of FMFCU’s Delco branches.
After filling up nearly five large collections bins, these donations went directly to our Delco neighbors through Share’s 32+ partner pantries and food sites, which provide nearly 140,000 pounds of free food to folks each month. In the last year, they’ve witnessed a jump in the number of people turning to partner pantries in all of the counties they serve, with a 70% increase in Delaware County alone.
