Did you know food banks face their greatest need in the summer?
This June, FMFCU Foundation will collaborate with area credit unions for an annual food drive. This year, collection boxes will be placed at all FMFCU branch location and food will be donated based upon location to make a local impact.
All food items collected will be donated to either: Chester County Food Bank, Food Bank of Delaware, or Philabundance. Items collected at FMFCU branches will be combined with items collected at other credit unions and donated funds to make collaborative impact.
Members and employees are encouraged to donate throughout the month of June.
Most needed food items include:
- Peanut butter
- Jelly
- Cooking oil
- Canned tuna
- Canned fruit and vegetables
- Oatmeal
- Breakfast cereals and cereal bars
- Canned soup
- Rice
- Whole grain pasta
- Boxed milk
- 100% juice

FMFCU Foundation supports and recognizes education and charitable initiatives in communities served by Franklin Mint Federal Credit Union. Programs include the Excellence in Teaching Awards, scholarships, education grants, food insecurity fund, Delco Hi-Q Academic Competition, and directly funds a number of other initiatives and awards. Since 2021, FMFCU Foundation has distributed over $50,000 to area food banks.
