Chadds Ford, PA (July, 2025): Summer brings sunshine—but also heightened need at local food banks. As demand spikes during the school break, FMFCU Foundation stepped up once again, providing vital support to numerous community organizations tackling food insecurity across the region.
This year’s impact included both financial aid and tangible donations, with food collection bins placed at every Franklin Mint Federal Credit Union branch throughout June. The response from members and staff was powerful, filling shelves and fueling hope.
At the heart of this initiative is the FMFCU Foundation Food Insecurity Fund, established in 2020 to help improve food access for neighbors in need. Since its inception, the fund has distributed nearly $76,000 to local food pantries and hunger relief organizations—and it’s not slowing down.
FMFCU Foundation has identified the following as 2025 Food Insecurity Fund recipients:
- Chester County Food Bank- Exton, PA
- Delco Food Project- Aston, PA
- Fiorenza’s Food for Friends- Downingtown, PA
- Food 4 Philly- Philadelphia, PA

- Holy Cross Food Pantry – Springfield, PA
- Murphy’s Giving Market- Upper Darby, PA
