Chadds Ford, PA — June 11, 2026 — FMFCU Foundation announced that nominations are officially open for the Delco Hi-Q Hall of Honor, which recognizes individuals whose leadership, service, and dedication have left a lasting impact on the nation’s oldest continuous academic quiz competition.
The Delco Hi-Q Hall of Honor was initiated in 2005 by Franklin Mint Federal Credit Union and the Delaware County Intermediate Unit (DCIU). Its purpose is to provide role models for Hi-Q team members by honoring former participants who have distinguished themselves through their careers or community service. It also recognizes educators and supporters of Delco Hi-Q who have made extraordinary contributions to the program.
Inductees are memorialized with photo plaques permanently displayed at the DCIU headquarters in Morton, Pennsylvania, ensuring their achievements continue to inspire future generations of students and educators.
“Each year, the Hall of Honor gives us an opportunity to recognize individuals whose dedication helped shape Delco Hi-Q and whose achievements after high school continue to reflect the values of leadership, excellence, and service,” said Rick Durante, Delco Hi-Q Quizmaster and FMFCU Foundation Executive Director. “We encourage schools, community partners, and alumni to nominate those whose accomplishments and example can inspire current and future Hi-Q students.”
Nomination Deadline: November 1, 2026. To be eligible for this prestigious honor, past Delco Hi-Q team members must have competed in at least one season of academic competition and have graduated from high school at least seven years ago. Nominations may be submitted through the online form. Selected inductees will be honored at the 2027 FMFCU Foundation Celebration.
